A town-by-town directory of pharmacies (spiżeriji) across Malta and Gozo, with addresses, phone numbers and opening hours where we have them. Handy when you need a prescription filled, over-the-counter medicine, or advice close to where you are.
Most Maltese pharmacies open Monday to Saturday during the day and close on Sundays and public holidays. To keep cover on those days, a rota of pharmacies on duty stays open on Sunday mornings — the current roster is published each week in the local newspapers and on the Ministry for Health channels. For anything urgent, dial 112 or head to the emergency department at Mater Dei Hospital (Malta) or Gozo General Hospital.
